2020 Q3 - encognize Activity Updates

Moving digital innovation in Japan forward

Our encognize Japan X-Tech Force has continued without any interruption (yet remotely) their business development efforts on FinTech and InsurTech X HealthTech related solutions from their existing business partners portfolio.
Additionally, encognize has engaged in new, diverse digital innovation-focused activities over Q3:
  • .synaptik service: encognize, a Service Partner of Plug And Play Japan, was privileged to be invited to join the PnP Japan Fall Summit 2020 as guest contributor on September 28, Expo Day 1, and to discuss the presentations with the Brand & Retail APAC/Europe program participants for the benefit of the Expo audience.
  • .fastforward service: on July 16, encognize announced its collaboration with FACIL'iti, a French-Japanese company offering a secure, cost-efficient, non-invasive and privacy compliant solution that helps make the web more inclusive.
  • .lab4-203 service: as part of an EdTech project aimed at improving the learning of foreign languages on-line or with an app through the use of adaptive learning techniques, a first functional prototype of ELLA (E.nhanced L.earning L.evel A.lgorithm) has been released. The prototype is now being tested by a group of pre-selected learners in order to calibrate the adaptive learning recommendation engine.
  • .fastforward service: through the whole quarter, part of our encognize Japan X-Tech Force has been involved in the facilitation and delivery support of a project based on advanced PII data protection solutions.

2020 Jul. 16 - How Digitally Inclusive is your Business?

Making the Web more accessible.

At a time when physical distancing is becoming the new norm and crowded places are regarded as health hazards, industries like Healthcare, Education, Financial Services, Retail industry among many others can only confirm the importance of diversifying their distribution channels from physical to digital.
This digital shift is vital to ensure the continuity of service these organizations deliver to their communities and customers, if not the direct survival of their activities.
The good news is that it has never been so easy to create a website or an ecommerce platform to sell services, physical or digital goods online.
And most of us are already used to surfing and consuming on the web as we breathe.

While the shift to offering services online looks a great way to counter the current situation and prepare the future, organizations should though be mindful of challenges that some of us face in using these channels.
Visual issues like cataract, mobility troubles like Parkinson's disease or cognitive disorders like dyslexia to quote a few are as many conditions making it challenging to access web services provided only in a standard design.
So, how do we make the web more accessible as part of our social responsibility?
How do we ensure a higher level of digital inclusion?

These are the two questions that FACIL'iti, an award-winning company with legal entities in France and Japan and a directory of more than 500 corporate customers already using their services, exactly answers.

The solution?
FACIL'iti solution is a user-friendly, easy-to-deploy, cybersecure, data-privacy compliant and cost-efficient solution making your client-facing website or intranet more accessible to disadvantaged users.

At encognize G.K., we are proud to announce our collaboration with FACIL'iti, supporting them in achieving their mission of making the web a more inclusive place for disadvantaged people.
